We will collect your Personal Information only if you voluntarily submit such information to us. You can always refuse to supply Personal Information, but please note that it may prevent you from engaging in certain Site related activities.

If you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or you may contact us using the contact information below.  Not currently offered.

We retain your Personal Information for as long as you allow us and thereafter only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or allowed by law, including to fulfill a legal obligation.

RaceEntry and PayPal are our primary partners that collect personal information on our behalf. RaceEntry is used for registration and other services related to the Run for #1. They collect personal and financial information from participants. Please review their privacy policy for more information on how they handle and protect your information. The financial information RaceEntry collects is not shared with the Foundation

PayPal is used to process online donations. They collect personal and financial information from donors. Please review their privacy policy for more information on how they handle and protect your information. The financial information PayPal collects is not shared with the Foundation.

Cookies

Our Site uses “cookies” to enhance your experience while using the Site. Your web browser places cookies on your hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about you. You may choose to set your web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you do so, please note that certain Site features may not function properly.

“Do Not Track” disclosure

Certain web browsers may allow you to enable a “do not track” option that sends signals to the websites you visit indicating that you do not want your online activities tracked. This is different than blocking cookies as browsers with the “do not track” option selected may still accept cookies. We currently do not honor “do not track” signals. If we do so in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

Children’s Privacy

We facilitate registration for our events, some of which allow participants under the age of 13. We require a date of birth for all registration entries. We require parental or guardian consent for children under the age of 13 to register on our Site. If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under the age of 13 without verification of parental or guardian consent, we will delete that information.

Site visitors from outside the United States

Our site is located and hosted in the United States of America (USA) and is designed for users located in the USA. Any interaction with and all activity on this site is governed by the laws of the USA exclusively.
